(METRO) - Singer Jock McDonald has died in a ‘freak swimming accident’.

The musician was best known for being part of the British band The Bollock Brothers, which he formed in 1979.

Other members of the band are guitarist Chris McKelvey, bassist Richard Collins, Klaus Fiehe, drummer Patrick Pattyn, guitarist Ciaran Crossan and keyboard player Morgan Michaux.

Over the years the band has released nine studio albums, with their most notable hits included original songs Horror Movies, The Bunker and The Legend of the Snake, as well as their English-language cover of Serge Gainsbourg’s Harley David (Son of a B****) and Alex Harvey’s Faith Healer.

Musician Bobby Whitlock, who co-founded the band Derek and the Dominos, has died aged 77.

The keyboard player and vocalist was best known for forming the blues rock band with Eric Clapton in 1970, however they only ever released one album and broke up after a year.

Whitlock also worked with The Beatles star George Harrison, playing on his 1970 triple album All Things Must Pass.

El actor nominado al Oscar protagonizó películas que van desde "Teorema" de Pier Paolo Pasolini en 1968 y "Una temporada en el infierno" en 1971, hasta "Las aventuras de Priscilla, reina del desierto" en 1994.
